Hi all,

I have received more information on Florida's new Universal Electronic IEP
(actual name: ESE Web Process System) from Kay Denise Taylor at the Florida
Department of Education.

That information follows as does a copy of their web page -

The purpose of the Florida ESE Web Process System is to develop and
implement a statewide standardized process for the provision of exceptional student
education services. The state process and format meets requirements for
compliance with state and federal law with flexibility to adapt to changing policy
conditions. This process and format will not only include a standardized
IEP format, but eventually all formats and processes related to the
identification of and the provision of services to students with disabilities.
Further information concerning The Florida ESE Web Process System was found

Statewide IEP Focus

The Individual Educational Plan (IEP) for students with disabilities, the
Educational Plan (EP) for students identified as gifted and the Service Plan
(SP) for parentally-placed students in private schools are required by federal
law and/or state statutes for individual exceptional education students. The
focus of the project is to develop and implement statewide standardized
processes for the provision of exceptional student education services. Training
and support services will be integrated at every phase of the project. The
Statewide IEP will be used in all school districts to ensure full compliance with
all regulatory requirements. The services will be coordinated with the
deployment of Phase II of Sunshine Connections.
