Hello Keturah, Welcome to the List. We have many other Correctional Educators as subscribers. The Discussion Lists also have an archives section for all posted messages. You can search through the archives by date, thread, and subject. To read archived messages, go to:_ http://www.nifl.gov/linc/discussions/list_archives.html_ (http://www.nifl.gov/linc/discussions/list_archives.html) The Special Topics Discussion List had guest speakers on the topic of Corrections during Sept. 2006. You might find some good information at: _http://www.nifl.gov/pipermail/learningdisabilities/2006/000635.html_ (http://www.nifl.gov/pipermail/learningdisabilities/2006/000635.html) If you are interested in asking some specific questions to others working in the same field, please feel free to post them to this List. Last summer I became the education supervisor and I would like to share with my staff any information that is research based about the clientele. Many tend to deny that these young men have learning challenges that MUST be addressed. Educators need to plan, prepare and make assessments that help to bridge the learning gap and LINCS is a diverse community that is trustworthy. The bottomline is I want to be a coachlike adminstrator. Thanks for the opportunity. Keturah -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
