Keturah: The Spring/Summer 2005 issue of Focus on Basic has an article
on a study that was performed with offenders in Missouri and
Ohio.Although this study focused on the over age 22 population the data
is still useful.

Subject: [LearningDisabilities 797] Correctional
FacilityAdmiinistrator/Educator

I have been an educator in an under 21 correctional facility in NYS.
Last summer I became the education supervisor and I would like to share
with my staff any information that is research based about the
clientele. Many tend to deny that these young men have learning
challenges that MUST be addressed. Educators need to plan, prepare and
make assessments that help to bridge the learning gap and LINCS is a
diverse community that is trustworthy.
The bottomline is I want to be a coachlike adminstrator.
Thanks for the opportunity
Keturah
