If she wants one for children , I'm not the one to make recommendations .. but for adults I would recommend Meeting the Challenges of Learning Disabilities in Adulthood by Arlen Roffman here is the Amazon address for the book http://www.amazon.com/Meeting-Challenge-Learning-Disabilities-Adulthood/dp/1 557664307 Glenn Young 530 Auburn Ave. Buffalo, New York 14222 Ph. and Fax 716-882-2842 Cell 703-864-3755 e-mail gyoungxlt at adelphia.net _____ From: learningdisabilities-bounces at nifl.gov [mailto:learningdisabilities-bounces at nifl.gov] On Behalf Of RKenyon721 at aol.com Sent: Sunday, February 11, 2007 10:13 AM To: learningdisabilities at nifl.gov Subject: [LearningDisabilities 908] Basic Text on Learning Disabilities Hi all, I received a request from an undergraduate student asking for a recommendation of a textbook she could read that would cover the basics on Learning Disabilities. She has a family member with suspected, yet undiagnosed learning disabilities. She wants more than a few articles and doesn't want to complete online training. She thinks that possibly a career in teaching LD might be ahead for her and wants to begin reading a scholarly text on her own time. Do you have any good recommendations? If those of you that teach at the undergraduate or graduate level can suggest some titles and authors, I will forward this on to her. Recommendations for all others will be gratefully appreciated as well. <http://cdn-cf.aol.com/se/smi/0201e05fcb/01> Thanks, Rochelle Rochelle Kenyon Moderator, LINCS Learning Disabilities Discussion List Center for Literacy Studies at the University of Tennessee RKenyon721 at aol.com To post a message: Learningdisabilities at nifl.gov To subscribe: http://www.nifl.gov/mailman/listinfo/LearningDisabilities To read archived messages: http://www.nifl.gov/linc/discussions/list_archives.html -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
