Hi. The Washington State tool is validated for English speakers only.
There is a validated tool for Spanish speakers, called the Empire State
screening tool developed through the Learning Disabilities Association
of Western New York, that can be found at:
http://www.ldaofwny.org/ESS%20Screeening.htm. Instructions for its use
are also on that site.

Hi all,

Here is the URL where the screening tool can be found:
_http://www.seakingwdc.org/ld/learningneedstool.pdf_
(http://www.seakingwdc.org/ld/learningneedstool.pdf)

It is also referred to as the "Washington 13" or the "13 Questions."

I have just emailed Nancie Payne, developer of the Washington State LD
Screening to post a message describing the history and usage of her
instrument. I
look forward to her response to give us more information on this
critically
important tool.

Thanks,

Rochelle
