MessageThis sensitive and informative movie should be mandatory viewing for
all literacy providers.
It's so valuable, and so exciting, that I hope every person on the list will
send the good news to all their friends. First comes information, and then
action.
This should come first.

And the follow-up should be developing tutors in skills to help learners go
beyond coping and learn to read an spell - using proven methods. Let's
reach out to this underserved population.

I first learned of this film when I worked at www.SchwabLearning.org. Ben
Foss came to visit us, and we were all deeply moved. I remembered this when
I was asked to be on the committee for our upcoming Literacy Breakfast. We
will show six minutes of the film there before the rest of the program.

Other than that, I haven't had an opportunity to share it in person. I am
delighted that a wider audience is discovering it. After earning his MBA and
law degrees from Stanford, Ben Foss is now Head Researcher for Assistive
Technology in the Digital Health Group of Intel. He's also a wonderful
person.

Privately, I have asked him if he would like to send a paragraph to this
list.

Best wishes,

Robbie

Hi Robbie,

Thanks for sharing this film resource with us. Have you shown this film
yet to any groups? If so, what was the response? I would be interested in
knowing how our subscribers might make use of this film.

Thanks,

Rochelle
