On the Poverty, Race, Women, and Literacy List, the following exchange was just posted:

This also shows great a intent on the program's part to WANT to accommodate and assist the students in succeeding. More importantly, it demonstrates how systems/resources can work together from K12-adult literacy programs together to bring about desired change. That's key.
Question: Most literacy teachers are already overwhelmed with providing instructions to several, multilevel students within one classroom setting. The supportive information such as IEPs etc.. Who's responsible for these needed, additional efforts? How are these efforts supported to or by the instructor?
