In addition to F.A.T City Workshop, I recommend From the Source,
produced and available from NIFL. These are actual people with different
learning disabilities that describe the condition, frustrations, and
what works for them. They are not celebrities as in Enis' Gift, but
regular working people. Enis' Gift is good for showing how LD can cause
persons with LD to build on their strengths and not focus on the
disability..

Hello Leif,
I would recommend a video titled How Difficult Can This Be? The F.A.T.
City Workshop by Rick Lavoie. It is excellent in sensitizing and
creating awareness of how students (people) with LD experience
challenges in their daily lives, as well as, strategies for working with
these students. It also comes with a practical discussion guide. You
can find more information and resources at Ricklavoie.com
<http://ricklavoie.com/> . This would be an outstanding tool to start
the year with.
