With support from the Dollar General Literacy Foundation, ProLiteracy brings
administrators and staff of literacy and adult basic education programs
field-tested strategies to adapt to your programs’ accountability needs
Data Collection and Management
The first of a three-part online series on performance accountability. The
course deals with the foundation data collection and management practices
needed to ensure the availability of credible, high-quality student data.
Length: approximately 3-4 hours
This course will help you:
* Build common language and approach to accountability
* Organize collection and management efforts around key decision
points and staff roles
* Increase confidence in your program’s data collection and management
practices
Data Analysis for Program Decision-Making
The second in the series. This course helps administrators and staff learn
why and how to institutionalize data-driven decision-making practices.
Length: approximately 3-4 hours
This course will help you:
The underlying premise of the course is that all aspects of data-driven
decision-making become institutionalized practices, thereby establishing a
culture of continuous improvement.
In this course you will:
* Review and practice data analysis skills
* Improve quality of decision-making through a team approach to data
analysis and review
* Streamline program improvement using practical planning tools and
strategies
Coming in the fall of 2009: Communicating Success to Stakeholders, the third
course in the series.
