Hi Robin,
when you finish compiling your list - could you post it on this listserv - it would be a great resource to us all, I'm sure.
thanks, Esther

I subscribe to the listen not as a day to day practitioner, but as a Bridges to Practice trainer. I do not always have the time to read everything in depth, but I find the postings and discussions very informative and a wealth of resource information. I often say items under specific categories so that when there is a particular question from the field I have practitioner's suggestions and recommended resources.

Professionals with insight--also humor--that's why I subscribe to this list. Thank heavens it exists.

My reasons are many. One is to educate myself. I work with teachers and students with disabilities but I am not a classroom teacher. I feel as if I have gained more knowledge and insight to our student's needs than any formal classroom education could have given me. Additionally, I have saved every e-mail with resources/references and am compiling a master list of resources for our teachers.

Thanks to all!!!!

Hi all,

Thanks to Betsy and Shannie for their feedback on the usefulness of this Discussion List. Finding resources and learning from each others' experiences are certainly two of the major goals for all the National Institute for Literacy Discussion Lists.

I would be interested in hearing others' thoughts.

What are your reasons for subscribing to this List?

What value have you derived from being a subscriber?

The information would be helpful in my planning

Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Pat and All LD Discussion List Members:

One of the greatest benefits for me as part of the LD Discussion List is learning about new resources to add to my collection. Pat, this looks wonderful, and I will definitely be ordering it soon. I am O-G certified and tutor a number of students of all ages as well as do tutor trainings. Thank you for sharing this resource.

I appreciatethe input. It's so nice to have a list where we can learn from each other's experiences. Our students benefit from the wealth of knowledge gained.

Shannie
