If there's a local university with a psychology program- they sometimes
offer testing services. And though it's not often free- some local
psychological specialists might be willing to provide literacy students
testing at reduced costs.

If the student is also in need of vocational services, they can be
referred to the local State Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (in NY,
VESID), and they refer for testing as part of accepting the student for
services, vocational planning and training

I was wondering if anyone had any good referrals for students who can't
afford LD testing? I have several students
at the poverty level who need accommodations for the GED (untimed
testing etc.) and can't possibly afford the $500.00 for testing.
