That's great news but whether or not you have to be certified depends on several factors. I suggest that you contact your state Department of Education and ask them. If students will receive some sort of diploma or certification, then then assumption is that you are not only accredited but that the center is as well. If you are just offering tutoring classes, then that is another matter all together.

Hello,
I and another person are planning to open up a literacy center. I wanted to ask if we needed to be certified teachers to start our literacy center. Also, how does one go about starting one? Where does one get materials, textbooks, etc? All advice is appreciated. Thanks.
