Greetings everyone,

I'd like to let everyone know that I greatly appreciate the exchange of ideas over the past few days and the participation of Mary and Brant as guest panelists.  I also wish to thank Rochelle for allowing this discussion to unfold so openly.  I hope more guest panel discussions can be scheduled soon!   These kinds of discussions carry much promise, because they address the very principles that guide our assumptions practices in the realm of education and human interactions.

I have again been reminded about how little I know, and what better start could there be?

Might there be a way to include the other NIFL and ALA  lists with pertinent features of what has been discussed? There are clear implications for assessment, reading & writing, diversity, and L2 acquisitions, lists that come to mind and that I subscribe to.

Aloha nui,

Michael

I want to thank all of the participants who have contributed meaningful and thought provoking ideas to this discussion list.  This is my first experience with this kind of exchange of professional knowledge and experience, and I must say that I have benefitted a great deal.  It is my hope that the discussions will continue not only with these topics but new ones that are just as interesting and exciting.    Thank you all so very much.
