I work for the Continuing Education Institute in Watertown, MA. I'm
trying to find out some information regarding training programs for
teachers or administrators in workplace education.

1. How do teachers in workplace education get trained? (ABE-, ASE-
level and ESOL)

>> Mainly on the job.

2. What post-baccelaureate training programs exist in higher education
for professionals in workplace education?
(Including everything from non-formal training programs to doctoral)

>> As far as I know none.

3. Are there any associations that are monitoring this?

Monitoring? I do not think so.

No clear cut set of recognized standards. Lots of companies trying to
sell you training ... There used to be one ..Q2Learn that I think has
run into a bit of a problem...... I will have to check with the
president of the company to see what is happening.

I hope some of this helps.
