I think I am being shamelessly self promoting here (SORRY), but I'd also
like to add that Nina Wallerstein (who wrote the first US book linking ESL
and Freire in the early 80s -- Language and Culture in Conflict -- which is
now out of print) and I have written two books inspired by Freirean and
post-Freirean approaches to adult education, published in 2005.

One is a text for students who are immigrant workers; it is called:
Problem-posing at Work: English for Action and is a substantially revised
version of my earlier ESL for Action (now out of print). The other is a book
for educators which outlines Freirean, participatory and popular education
approaches to adult ed; it's called Problem-posing at Work: Popular
Educator's Guide.
