Dominique and all-

Providence, RI has a wonderful arts-based program devoted to youth in and transitioning out of the state training school (RITS) called Broad Street Studio. The focus is three-fold: visual, literary and performance based arts education.
Their website is currently under construction, but if you check back in the future, you will be able to get a better picture of all that they do: http://www.as220.org/BSS.
Anyway, I know that they produce a (monthly?) broadsheet/newspaper of writing by the occupants of the RITS that tend to focus on the issues that the writers face in training school (and what they faced prior to being institutionalized, and what they will face upon their release).
