I agree that Diversity and Literacy is the best name for this list. It is
simple and gets right to the point. 

It is true, that sometimes the word "diversity" winds up meaning only one
thing in some places, but not here. I agree with those who support the idea
that diversity should mean ALL: race, gender, ethnicity, ability, of all
brands, flavors, varieties, colors, etc. It would be good for us to support
that through our list, and continue talking about all varieties of people,
backgrounds, and experiences.

Since we do need to limit ourselves to the choices below, I vote for
Diversity and Literacy.  My experiences have not limited the
understanding of the term "diversity" to mean "black" but I see
"diversity" as a term broad enough to encompass the multiple "isms" that
limit opportunities for people.  In choosing any of the other
alternatives (with the exception of the "Literacy and Voice" name), we
would be unnecessarily limiting our stated interests. I think Daphne is
quite capable of and dedicated to keeping the list inclusive of all the
"isms." "Literacy and Voice" would be acceptable to me, but I still
prefer "Diversity and Literacy."

You are not off topic, but I do want to remind everyone, that at this
point we cannot add new choices to our list. So the list that we need to
stick with and discuss before voting starts is:

Class, Color, Gender, and Literacy

Diversity and Literacy
Gender, Income, Race, and Literacy
Gender. Poverty, Race, and Literacy
Literacy and Voice
Or
Keeping it as is: Poverty, Race, Women and Literacy

Too many people have become immune to or annoyed with the word
"diversity."
They see it somehow as a "card" of any kind (racially related,
disability
related, etc.) that doesn't hold credibility.  I vote for a new word
that
doesn't further irritate people with a word they think is just
politically
correct rhetoric.  "Ethnicity" covers the "color" thing.  "Ability" and
"sexual identity" covers other aspects of what we think of in terms of
"diversity."  I prefer the word "ability" because there is room there to
stress strengths and not just impairment.

Am I getting off topic?
