TCALL is seeking authors to write articles for the April 2008 issue of
Texas Adult & Family Literacy Quarterly (formerly Literacy Links).

The issue’s theme is workforce related, but we’d particularly like to
feature an article on how family literacy programs integrate workforce
skills into their adult education component.

If you are interested in contributing such an article, the deadline for
completed articles is Friday, February 15. Maximum article length is 900
words, but articles a good deal shorter may be appropriate as well.
Shorter articles may result in an author stipend on the lower end of the
$100-250 range.

Other details on article submission: Submitting an article does not
guarantee that it will be accepted for publication. For complete details
including Technical and Stylistic Requirements, see the Texas Adult &
Family Literacy Quarterly Editorial Policy and Submission Guidelines
page of TCALL’s website.
Upon final acceptance by the Editorial Board, the author is eligible to
receive a stipend. Typical stipend range is $100-$250 per article;
however, exact stipend amount will depend on article length and the
number of articles published in a given issue. In the case of articles
with multiple authors or contributors, a single stipend will be remitted
to the article’s lead author. Staff of state leadership projects are
invited to submit articles but are not eligible for a stipend.

Texas Adult & Family Literacy Quarterly is the quarterly publication of
the Adult and Family Literacy Clearinghouse, a project housed in the
Texas Center for the Advancement of Literacy & Learning (TCALL).
Subscriptions are free to adult educators, literacy providers, and
others interested in adult and family literacy. Texas Adult & Family
Literacy Quarterly is dedicated to advancing the knowledge in the field
by addressing topics of concern to adult and family literacy
practitioners, adult learners, and scholars. The audience includes
teachers, students, administrators, program coordinators, researchers,
literacy volunteers, and in general individuals interested in the fields
of adult and family literacy.

All editorial correspondence and submissions should be sent to:
