I am intrigued by accommodations in the adult literacy field, and I wonder if anyone on this list has thoughts, ideas, experiences in regards to any of the following:

1. do you know of adult literacy programs that accommodate the physically challenged (ramps, specially equipped bathrooms, wide doorways, etc.)?
2. do you know of adult literacy programs that accommodate the sensory challenged (deaf/blind)?
3. do you know of adult literacy programs that accommodate people who need more time to complete tasks?
4. do you know of adult literacy programs that accommodate diverse interests in the books that are available (i.e. has books attractive to different racial/ethnic, religious, sexual/gender orientations)?

Should adult literacy programs do the above? Why? And if you think they should, do they? If not, why not?
