AALPD Colleagues:
Last week, AALPD opened the vote to AALPD members on the final version of the
PD Policies. Twenty-five members have responded thus far, to indicate whether
or not they support AALPD in promoting these policies.

Those who agree with the policies and want to see them acted upon must vote to
let policymakers know they care. Those who disagree must vote so that
policymakers know that these are not widely endorsed -- and what the
controversies are.

If you are an AALPD member and you have not received an email requesting your
participation, or if you have not yet had the opportunity to participate, then
please take action now: http://aalpd.org/planning/policyvote_dataentry.cfm

For information and background regarding the PD Policy Recommendations,
including how they were developed/revised, and next steps, visit:
http://aalpd.org/advocacy.htm

If you would like to read the PD Policy Matrix (Policy-Rationale-Example
Practice), visit: http://aalpd.org/documents/PDPolicyMatrix101205.doc

If you have questions, please do not hesitate to ask. Help get out the word,
and get out the vote. Six days left.

Thanks so much!

Best, Jackie Taylor, List Moderator, AALPD, jataylor at utk.edu
