AALPD Colleagues:
I just wanted to offer a quick update and a *big thank you* to those who have
already indicated whether they support AALPD in promoting the PD policies. So
far, we've heard from AALPD members in Washington D.C., Florida, Georgia,
Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, and
Washington.
I hope AALPD members in same and other states/locations will join us in this
journey by visiting:
http://aalpd.org/planning/policyvote_dataentry.cfm
If you agree with the policies and want to see them acted upon, I hope you
will vote so that policymakers know this matters. And I hope those who
disagree will vote so that policymakers know that these are not widely
endorsed -- and what the controversies are.
To read the PD Policy Matrix (Policy-Rationale-Example Practice), visit:
http://aalpd.org/documents/PDPolicyMatrix101205.doc
For background and AALPD's next steps, visit: http://aalpd.org/advocacy.htm
Let us know if you have questions. Help get out the word, and get out the
vote. 5 days left.
Thank you for responding - Jackie Taylor, List Moderator, AALPD,
