Colleagues:
The Center for Literacy Studies at the University of Tennessee is seeking to
contract with two facilitators who have expertise in teaching multi-level
ABE/GED or ESOL classes. The facilitators will design and co-facilitate a
6-hour teacher workshop (Strategies for Teaching in the Multilevel
Classroom) and will co-facilitate a 4-week online course as follow up to the
regional workshops.
The workshops will be held at four regional locations for a total of 7 times
in February 2006. The 4-week online course will be held in March-April, and is
based in teacher inquiry. Thus, the facilitators should have experience in:
- teaching multi-level classes
- facilitating teacher inquiry
- facilitating an online course
- planning/facilitating as part of a team
If you are interested and would like more information, please reply to Jackie
Taylor (off-list) at: <jataylor at utk.edu> no later than December 9, 2005.
Thank you,
