PD List Colleagues,

Next week, our PD List discussion will provide several opportunities to
"try out" online and blended learning, including the opportunity to
dialogue and build collaborations via synchronous "real time" text
chats. AALPD has set up a virtual office at Tapped In
(http://tappedin.org/tappedin/). Tapped In (TI) is a global online
community of educators. It is a virtual campus where educators can
establish an office (free) that comes with a chat room and discussion
boards.

 

Chat participants automatically receive transcripts from TI after the
chat session ends.

 

Several of our guests will be holding office hours at the AALPD vOffice,
beginning Monday, May 14th. The week's activities will culminate in a
real-time chat with the TESOL EVO team as well as other guests
(http://tinyurl.com/yrtktz) who are available to join.

 

To prepare, you will need to:

 

1)     Obtain a user name/password for Tapped In (5 minutes)

2)     Join the AALPD Group once you are, well, "Tapped In." (5 minutes)

 

These are one-time only actions to prepare. Once you've obtained a user
name/password and joined the AALPD group, then the AALPD office is
always one-click away.
