PD List Colleagues:

I would be _thrilled_ if each person who followed at least part of the
discussion would answer one or more of the questions below. Please take a
minute and jot down your feedback, and return it to me by either posting it
to the list, or emailing me direct (jataylor at utk.edu).

1. Did you benefit from this discussion? If so, then in what ways?
I did benefit from the discussion as I learned that those on list have a
great deal of information to share.

2. What did you learn from the discussion, or what is at least one thing
that you took away from the discussion? (It could be a recommendation, an
idea or aspect of online/blended PD you hope to pursue, a resource you will
explore, etc.)

I felt that some on the list are still not convinced that online PD is the
way to go. I teach PD online in several formats and also do face-to-face
PD. I found that the online really aids those who work part-time in the
field and allows them to use their time wisely to achieve PD goals.

3. What did you find valuable about either what was discussed, or the
design/process by which it took place?

I liked the diversity of ideas and the "tell like it is" of some of the
participants.

4. What did you like about the discussion (organization, process, format,
etc) and what would you _change_ for next time? (consider aspects like (but
not limited to) the week 1 discussion primer, the availability of
synchronous chat office hours, Pod cast/online video archive, use of the
wiki, facilitation, etc.)

It would be nice to have a synchronous discussion either through a chat or
"tappedin". I have had chats for online classes and found them very useful,
and once participants feel comfortable with the moderator, they express
themselves freely.

5. If you attended the AALPD PreConference at COABE, was this a useful
follow up to the PreConference? If so, then in what ways? If not, what
suggestions do you have to improve the follow up for future PreConferences?

Please return by June 1st. Thanks! :-) Jackie Taylor
