[ProfessionalDevelopment 1402] Artifacts for Beginning Level ESL Learners for the Job-Imbedded Approachkarisa tashjian ktashjian at yahoo.comFri Jul 13 09:55:50 EDT 2007
Dear Cristine and all, I've really enjoyed the discussion this week. You (Christine) presented some of your ideas to the Nellie Mae Adult Education cluster about a year ago and we have really started to change our program's approach towards professional development to use a job-imbedded approach. However, a formidable challenge has been to identify "pieces" of Beginning (and Intermediate) Level ESL work that teachers can discuss as a group. There are a lot of conversation and other interactive activities that take place in the classroom but for tangible work products...........Does anyone else feel that this is challenging and do you have any suggestions? Can rubrics provide a basis for discussion and study among teachers? Thanks so much for your help.
