In Washington State, our governor established an annual “Adult Literacy Week.”
Attached is a link with information about how adult literacy plays a vital role in economic vitality for individuals, communities and the state. It has copies of flyers and information campaign materials.

Our work with public awareness and clear consistent messaging has helped our work immensely.

Hi Karen and everyone,

You might want to pose this question on the Assessment Discussion List – this week we are talking about how data is used for program improvement and one of the areas is how to use your data to show your program’s worth.  Programs with successful strategic plans for giving rely heavily on their data to help them build their case.  The discussion is focused on a 3-year initiative on using data – the 3rd module of which is entitled Communicating Success to Stakeholders.

Hi All,

I am the Literacy Coordinator for the Bartlesville Public Library Adults 16 + program; we are a fairly new program which just started up July 1 of this year.   Our grant has asked for a Public Relations/Awareness plan and a Fundraising plan to help fund the budget.  Does anyone have a plan that you would be willing to share?  It would be so appreciated.

Thank  you…
