Janet,

We are adults, equals, discussing a subject and putting forth our views. I
do not think it is necessary to always say "in my opinion, although I may be
wrong". It is assumed that others have the right to disagree and present a
different view. The situation in the classroom is different The teacher
speaks from a position of authority. That authority is easily abused.
