Hi everyone,
   I'm an ESL program coordinator for a community organization and I've been following all of your emails. I'm familiar with the issues involved in providing English language instruction to adult learners as part of my job and also from my studies. However, I'm new to content standards and the field of ABE more generally. I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction. Is there a basic primer out there or short course I could take to get me caught up to speed on the current issues?

link for, you may want to check the Standards section of the Adult
Literacy Education Wiki:

There is some information on California there, but very limited.
