[Technology] Examples of Parallel Online CurriculaDavid Rosen djrosen at comcast.netMon Jan 23 11:32:31 EST 2006
Technology colleagues, I am looking for examples of an online component (pure or blended) in adult basic education (including literacy, basic skills, English language learning, numeracy, etc.) which closely parallels what is taught in face-to-face classes or tutorials. It might be an online curriculum used both in the classroom (or computer lab) and at home. It might be used as supplemental instruction at home, but not in the classroom. It might be used at home by students who temporarily cannot come to class. It might be used by students on a waiting list to get into a class. But, in all cases the online curriculum must be parallel to the curriculum used in the classroom. If you have suggestions of good examples of this, please post them here or e-mail me, letting me know what the program, city or town and state is where this takes place, the url for the online curriculum and if, possible, an e-mail contact from whom I can learn more about it. Thanks. All the best, David J. Rosen djrosen at comcast.net
