Hello All, David, in response to your question my learning center is not currently offering a course, though since your e-mail I am debating having one. I do know that a local carrier out of Lexington, KY (Cellular 1) was offering courses with their technology. Now to introduce myself... My name is Barry Burkett. I am an Adult Ed instructor in Frankfort, Kentucky, the state's capital. I have been teaching 3 years. I am wanting to enhance Kentucky's virtual education service (www.kyvae.org) by putting VOD-casts of instruction at the learning center onto the web. I have researched via Wikipedia and several of its links, but it is still confusing me. Is anyone trying this? And if so, is it as easy as shoot, transfer to computer and upload to the internet? And one last thing, that virtual classroom sounds Brilliant. Methinks it will be utilized with my reading/writing class this term. People who: * are older * do not have money * live in rural areas * have low literacy skills especially, those who fit several of these crtiteria, are less likely to have access to mobile phones. But I wonder if adult literacy programs could help people who _do_ have mobile phones to use them more fully. Is anyone aware of good directions for using a mobile phone, written in plain language, with good illustrations and diagrams, that might be suitable for adult basic skills learners? I would be especially interested in any lessons designed for helping adults use mobile phones. Thanks, David J.
