I think one application for ABE would be for podcasts to be available of content-area related readings. I have a subscription to a philosophy podcast that makes selected readings from influential texts available on a weekly basis. I have seen history podcasts, and there are science ones as well. I am sure we could figure out some relevant texts to record and upload for students to download.
