Would you like to join an online group of adult education professionals
and teachers interested in or currently using distance learning in their
GED, ABE, or ESOL programs? We have created a group called Adult Education
online in the popular and free educational platform TappedIn to discuss
issues and share resources related to supporting distance learning for
adult education students. TappedIn allows group members to upload files,
create and reply to discussion threads, conduct online chats, and share
useful links with others in the group. Bringing together a community of
people who have a common interest in distance learning for adult learners
is a great way to make connections, build community, and establish new and
successful partnerships in the field of adult and workplace education.
TappedIn would be a great place to permanently house many of the topics
and resources posted to this NIFL Technology list.

To check out TappedIn, or become a member, go to
http://tappedin.org/tappedin/

To request to become a member of the Adult Education online group you can
submit a request to join through TappedIn, or you can send an email to
rasebastian at vcu.edu with your name and your email address. Those who
request to join will receive an email with a link to the group. To join
the Adult Education online group you must be a member of TappedIn.

Take care,
