Hello Tech list Colleagues,

I am very pleased to announce the first planned discussion that will
take place on the Technology list in the New Year; a discussion on the
use of social networking sites in education settings. More information
will follow but for now please save the dates and begin thinking about
the questions and experiences you would like to share. Our guest will be
Emily May (bio below) from the community based organization
Opportunities for a Better Tomorrow (OBT). OBT is an education and job
training service provider for youths and adults, for more info you can
see their web site at: http://www.obtjobs.org/ <http://www.obtjobs.org/>

Emily May and OBT have been using My Space and LinkedIn with their
student population to achieve a number of learning and program goals.
Emily will be joining the Tech list from February 11th through the 14th.

I will forward more information as the dates approach. This discussion,
as with all we have on the list, will be made richer by your active
participation!

Regards,

Mariann
