Dear Technology list colleagues,
 
After four wonderful years of moderating the NIFL Technology and Literacy Discussion list I will be passing the baton in to the very capable hands of my long time colleague and Tech list subscriber, Nell Eckersley of the Literacy Assistance Center in New York City. Nell has a tremendous body of experience both as an adult ed. instructor and program manager and a leader in instructional technology, data systems, and the development of virtual learning spaces. I have made the choice to pass on the moderation duties of the Tech list as I have recently accepted a position with the American Institutes for Research (www.air.org) as Director of the California Adult Literacy Professional Development Project (http://www.calpro-online.com) and would like to give 100% of my time and attention to this tremendous project. I will look forward to meeting those of you on the list who live and work in California over the upcoming months! 

 Working with all of you for the past four years has been a distinct honor and true pleasure. The intellect, passion and creativity possessed by the Tech list community has set the standard for the field and has led to innovation in practice beyond the confines of our subscribers. Thank you for generously sharing your expertise with each other and the field!

To the NIFL staff, and especially Sandra Baxter, I would like to say thank you for allowing me to be a part of the mission, great work and endeavors of the organization. It has been a privilege. 

And finally...Welcome Nell!!!
