I work as an instructor in a "closed facility."  I do not believe it  
is needed or appropriate to share your personal information with  
students.  It can be taken and used against you for manipulation.  If  
you are working with children, worst yet.  I think it is important  
that people stick to the subject matter and leave their personal  
information for their biographies.
