MANUSCRIPTS WANTED – The Workforce Improvement Network at
James Madison University is seeking articles for the Winter
2005 issue of Vertex, the Online Journal for Adult and
Workforce Education.

The editors seek articles of not more than 5,000 words that
focus on the theory, best practices or research in the areas
of workplace education, adult basic education, English as a
second language, and GED learning in the workplace. They are
especially interested in articles that present information
on the latest research or that document successful
educational programs in those and other areas of adult
education.

Deadline for submissions to be considered for the Winter
2005 issue is January 31, 2005, but we are accepting
articles for the Spring and Summer issues as well at this
time.

Please submit the full manuscript as a Word document to
Jennie Reed, Vertex Editorial Intern, at reedjr at jmu.edu,
along with a 50-100 word bio and photo. Include your email
address, daytime phone number, and mailing address.

For full submissions guidelines and to read the first issue
of Vertex, go to the journal's website at
http://vawin.jmu.edu/vertex.

If you are unsure if an article fits the scope Vertex, you
may submit a query to Pamela Brown, Vertex editor, at
brownpg at jmu.edu, outlining your idea.

Please note that submissions will only be accepted
electronically.

Vertex is funded through a grant from the Virginia
Department of Education.
