[NIFL-WORKPLACE] COABE 2006 Conference Website may be affected by Hurricane RitaHarriet Smith hsmith at coe.tamu.eduWed Sep 21 16:15:03 EDT 2005
We want to make the field aware that over the next several days, the COABE 2006 Conference website (http://www.coabe06.org/) may periodically go down for varying periods of time due to the effects of Hurricane Rita. The site will likely be down entirely over the weekend. Texas A&M University, where the COABE website is housed on a TCALL Web server, is directly in the projected path of the storm. Even though we're 150 miles inland from Galveston, this is one big storm. ___________________________________ Harriet Vardiman Smith Clearinghouse Director Texas Center for the Advancement of Literacy & Learning State Partner in the National LINCS System Texas A&M University 800-441-READ website: www-tcall.tamu.edu main office email: tcall at coe.tamu.edu "Illiteracy and innumeracy are a greater threat to humanity than terrorism." -- Amaratya Sen, 2003 Nobel prize-winning economist.
