Katrina Recovery Job Connection is a new Web site resource focused on
supporting the transition back into employment for individuals impacted by
Hurricane Katrina. The site's purpose is to connect job seekers with
employers for either new permanent employment or for jobs related to the
clean-up, recovery and rebuilding process in hurricane-impacted
areas. While the site is intended to complement efforts at the state and
local levels, it is also intended to make individuals evacuated to other
states aware of opportunities in their home state.

The site allows employers to post jobs and job seekers to search for job
opportunities and post their resumes:

· Job Seekers/General Jobs: This search method allows individuals
who have been impacted by Hurricane Katrina to search for jobs that
employers have posted specifically for Katrina-impacted individuals
nationwide. Individuals can find job opportunities listed in their home
state, as well as in their new state.

· Job Seekers/Recovery Jobs: This search will allow individuals to
search for temporary clean-up, recovery and/or reconstruction jobs in the
hurricane recovery areas. This will include cleanup jobs that are created
through public National Emergency Grant funding, as well as private sector
opportunities related to the re-establishment of infrastructure and
community services.

· Employers: Employers who have jobs that are supporting hurricane
recovery efforts or want to hire workers impacted by the hurricane can post
opportunities on this site, as well as search the resumes of
Katrina-impacted individuals.

To post a job or search available job listings, the Katrina Recovery Job
Connection can be found at http://www.jobsearch.org/katrinajobs or through
America's Job Bank at www.ajb.org and click on Katrina Jobs.
