The Economic Opportunies Program at the Aspen Institute has just released
an article summarizing a provocative set of discussions about the roles of
work and wealth in today's economy that took place during the inaugural
Aspen Ideas Festival in July. EOP invited several top academics, advocates
and journalists to share their perspectives during the week-long event. The
article, entitled: "Family Economics: Work and Wealth in the New Economy,"
(available

captures the ideas presented by Anthony Carnevale, Ron Haskins, Jason
DeParle, Eric J. Cooper, Myron Orfield, Angela Glover Blackwell, Amy
Domini, Mark Bryan and Roger Weisberg. EOP's festival sessions and the
article about them were supported by the Annie E. Casey Foundation and
Gamillah, Inc.
