Hugh: We have released Customer Service for Healthcare workers and are in the final phase of releasing Customer Server for Hospitality Workers all for VESL. All our work in the Customer Service area and for that matter is designed with a generic base and easily customized for other industries. Also, one our partners has access to Retail ESL curriculum so we can most likely do something fast and at lower cost. Contact me if you prefer. We are a Hispanic social service agency in Southern Chester County PA and have recently begun to develop a workplace skills training program. A local retailer contacted us to develop an ESL training for floor employees who are not proficient in English. Largely, its directed at improving the employees ability to field questions from customers about the locations of items or departments in the store. Any experience out there that would like to weigh in on this one? One interesting aspect is that the store wants the employees to understand the English-language announcements over the speaker system, calls for maintenance, code calls, etc. Any ideas on how to do this one? Any ideas or help is appreciated.
