Gentle Readers, It must be a slow week for Workplace educators. I have only two resources to share with you this week. I hope you did read the information from one of our newest subscribers, Chris Tombari. Chris mentioned a conference I also attended last week in NYC at LaGuardia Community College, "Bridges to Opportunity: Workforce Development for English Language Learners". We have over 20 or the people who attended that conference now on our discussion list, and I think some of the reports of the sessions there may be posted to the list by the conference organizers as they would be of interest to many of the rest of you as well. In the meantime, I want to encourage any of the conference attendees to share their insights from that conference with the list. English Language Learners are a growing percentage of Workplace Learners, and we need to pay attention to this trend and what it means for the field. I hope you are having an enjoyable fall. It's one of the most colorful falls I can remember in Knoxville!
