Subject: RE: Welcome to the Workplace Literacy Discussion List

Greetings to you. Thank you for the cordial welcome to the NIFL
Workplace Literacy Discussion List.

In response to your request for me to introduce myself: I have been on
the faculty in the Department of Literacy and Language Development at
Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for the past 18
years. I have always been particulary committed to improving the
quality of education in the Milwaukee Public Schools. Of late, my
circle of concern has broadened to include issues related to workplace
literacy. This is not my primary area of expertise, even though I have
done quite a bit of work with adult literacy learners. But I am now
eager to learn as much as possible in order to find avenues for
contributing to my community more effectively. I am excited to be part
of this venue for knowledge.

Suzanne M. Terry, Ed.D.
