[Workplace 1011] Have you used the job-related videos Web site yet?

Colleagues,

Over the summer I posted information about a Web site with hundreds
of free, short, job-related videos. I said I would make the Web
address available to those who emailed me about how they would use it
with their classes. I posted a long summary of their many ideas at:

http://www.nifl.gov/pipermail/workplace/2007/001378.html

I wonder if anyone to whom I sent the Web address has used the videos
with students yet and, if so, what the exerience was like. Was the
Web page useful or not? How would you use the jobs video Web page in
the future? Have you found a jobs video Web page you like better? If
so what makes it better?

Incidentally, I have no connection at all to the Web page I sent. I
was aware of it and realized that adult educators I had talked with
-- even in the state it was designed for -- didn't know about it, so
I decided to let people know in what some found to be an exciting
(and others annoying) way. I like the Web page, but I think some
things about it could be better. I learned from our discussion this
summer that there are other free video Web pages (see the summary)
that are just as good or better. I also learned that there are a lot
of creative people on this list with good ideas about how to use
videos with adult learners who want to know about jobs.

Does anyone else have a (perhaps not well-known) free student
learning resource that you use with students, perhaps one you learned
about from Donna's Thursday resource postings? If so, I'd like to
hear about it, and maybe others would, too.
