I am very pleased to announce a panel discussion next week on the health
literacy list, which may interest some of you! In honor of Health
Literacy Month, the list will host this discussion on communication
between patients and health care providers. The panel will include adult
learners, literacy teachers, health care providers, and a health
educator. They will discuss the challenges and supports to communicating
with health care providers for adults with lower literacy skills. They
will also discuss how literacy teachers can collaborate with health
systems and help to prepare their students for more effective heatlh
communication.
