Robin -

If you are referring to informal assessments, I would suggest that you
provide opportunities for practitioners to get together, discuss and
develop assessments that are relevant to their specific situations and
adults. We could also connect in a way that will encourage us to
continue sharing our expertise and have a process for making our work
available to each other (i.e., a website).

If you are referring to a formal assessment that can be marketed as
valuable to employers as well as learners and practitioners, there are
many publishers who have materials available. What has happened to the
workforce credentials? Shouldn't that be the way to go? I suggest
seriously considering the EFF credential at the national Chamber of
Commerce and the CASAS credentials. Both assess the soft skills you
refer to.

Subject: [Workplace 1030] Soft Skills Assessments

Hello Everyone:

I'm working on developing a variety of assessment tools to somehow
measure different work readiness competencies and skills, including soft
skills such as attitude, motivation, responsibility, etc.

I realize it's difficult to measure soft skills but hoping there are
some things out there that I might and/or adapt. Any ideas,
suggestions, or resources?
