Hi, Robin--

How are you doing? I've been meaning to check in! Hope all is going well. Kathleen is a great addition to our team and your name often comes up!

One tool I can think of is a test that relies on participants' responses to various videotaped scenarios, is available from Alan Lesure in Greenwich CT--I think his outfit is called "Learning Resources."

The other type of resource is "work readiness" tools such as those that include Equipped for the Future (EFF) through the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and also similar tools available through Work Keys/ACT. They are not in use in Massachusetts but are elsewhere including New Jersey and New York, so you could ask those who have experience with them there.

There is also a nice package from someone in British Columbia which the SABES WFD team previewed a few years back and liked it. I will look it up ASAP--I forget its name. I think there are others, too, and when I have a minute I will look for them.

Take care--

Laurie

Hello Everyone:

I'm working on developing a variety of assessment tools to somehow measure different work readiness competencies and skills, including soft skills such as attitude, motivation, responsibility, etc.

I realize it's difficult to measure soft skills but hoping there are some things out there that I might and/or adapt. Any ideas, suggestions, or resources?
