I bet you won't be the only one, Mary, who would normally have been able
to come to the Pre-Conference and now faces financial limitations. It's
a fact of life in these economically trying times. Hopefully, with all
the preparations that are going in to it, there will still be enough
people who will be able to attend to make it worth the effort! As in
the past, we will try to get copies of the papers and presentations that
are of interest to list members and make them available electronically
through the list. That way, we can all still benefit and stay in touch.
I'm sorry you won't be able to be there in person.

Dear Donna and Others,
I regret to inform you that due to the current economic conditions we at
our Foundation are "tightening our belts". As a result some activities
are being curtailed which will make it impossible for me to attend COABE
2009. I look forward to hearing about your experiences from the
workplace pre-conference session on our LINCS Workplace Literacy
Discussion List.
