It's not too late-presentation proposals are still being accepted

Make sure to submit your workshop proposal for the U.S. Conference on
Adult Basic Education and Literacy in Chicago, IL March 15-19, 2010. The
proposal deadline has been extended to Thursday, October 15, 2009.

Conference awards applications are now being accepted

Take this opportunity to recognize the good work that is being done in
your community. You might win $500 worth of New Readers Press materials
and a travel stipend of $1,000 to attend the 2010 Conference on Adult
Basic Education and Literacy.

The following areas will be recognized at the 2010 conference:

*	Ruth J. Colvin and Frank C. Laubach Award for Student Excellence

*	Ruth J. Colvin and Frank C. Laubach Award for Excellence in
Individual Achievement 
*	ProLiteracy Award for U.S. Program Innovation
