Associates: The appl ication deadline for the Policy to Performan ce an

	 

	Dear State Directors,
	
	OVAE in partnership with DTI Associates is pleased to announce
the launch of the Policy to Performance: Connecting Adults with
Opportunities Initiative.   DTI will be collaborating with Abt
Associates, Advance Associates and Maher and Maher to assist eight
states in developing effective policy that will support the transition
of adult learners to postsecondary education and employment.  
	
	A Web site is now available, www.policy2performance.org, to help
states learn more about the initiative and apply to be one of the eight
states that will participate in this effort.  Each state will select a
transition focus and create an action plan that will drive the
development, implementation and evaluation of new policy.  States will
receive targeted technical assistance, coaching and access to policy
development experts.  High quality resources and materials will be
provided and lessons gleaned.  The selected states will be paving the
way for the future.
	
	States are required to complete a self assessment and
application no later than October 19, 2009.  Selected states will be
notified by November 30, 2009.  Please visit the Web site for additional
