The ARCS Comparison Profile
When we talk about the "ARCS Comparison Profile," we are referring to learners in one of the 11 profiles we created from the ARCS (the Adult Reading Components Study) who have reading abilities most similar to your learner's. If your learner had been a participant in the ARCS, she/he would have been in this profile. That is why your learner has been matched and is being compared to this particular research-based reading profile.
